What is Jurisprudence?

Law of any country maintain rights, justice and redress the grievances of the people, law ensure public order, maintain harmony, peace among individuals within the country or state and inter-stats. For better understanding Law, a term is sued “Jurisprudence”. Let’s see what is Jurisprudence?
Jurisprudence means the knowledge of Law. It deals with laws which are enforceable by the courts of stat”. It is also called science of civil laws. Jurisprudence deals the laws that are enforceable by the courts of law.

Kind of Jurisprudence
There are three kind of Jurisprudence
Analytical Jurisprudence
Historical Jurisprudence
Ethical Jurisprudence
Analytical Jurisprudence: It studies the Principle of law as it is exists now and enforceable in the court of law. Analytical Jurisprudence study the source of law. The Scope of Analytical Jurisprudence is as under:
Investigation of the theory of legislation, precedent and custom
Treatment of rights, different kinds and classes of rights, creation of rights, transfer of rights and extinction of rights
Dealing with legal liability, its kinds, extent and incidence
To investigate legal concepts such as property, possession trust, contract, person, motive, negligence etc.
Historical jurisprudence: It studies history of law, evolution of law over a period of time, amendments, introduction of new principles of law.
Ethical jurisprudence: It deals with the law as it ought to be in the ideal state.
